well this week we are having a "field trip" to Jerusalem... the field trip is to see Jerusalem in perspective as the Holy city to 3 diferent religions and my commander gave me the assignment to plan and coordinate the trip...

after a pre-trip planning trip conducted by me, Freddy and a friend of mine from the army we concluded on hitting the highlights and  this is the schedule

9:00 observation from the mount of Olives

10:00 hike through the "City of David"

12:30 lunch

13:30 temple mount

14:30 the church of the Holy Sepulchre

16:00 "the generations" display (a new glass display that goes over history from abraham) and free time to walk around

17:30 buses leave...

The trip i think is going to be awesome, the religious guys made a fuss about going up to the temple mount (the rabbis forbid for danger of stepping on the holy of holies) and didnt want anyone to go... even claiming that the army rabbinate would not allow it... so we checked with the rabbinate and its ok just to make it comfortable for people who dont want to go up.

Its surprising how difficult it is to get something in on Yeshua that isnt steeped in religious semintary (all sorts of weird catholic greek orthodox symbols and stuff)...

we did passover with our aunt and uncle who is a religious rabbi and i think we broke an all time record for longest seder... not only did we read every letter of the haggadah but in between my uncle added all these extra stories... we didnt start it until about 8:00 and didnt eat until 1100 and finally finished the seder at around 1230... all in all it was fun... long, but fun
